The Tertiary Championship is the highest open age competition the NSW Tertiary Student Rugby League operates. Created in 1970, the Tertiary Championship has been competed for every season for the past 40 seasons.

In 2013 teams from throughout Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra will compete in the competition.
