A new addition to the NSW Tertiary Student Rugby League representative calendar, the Country v City clash gives a chance for some of the best players from the NSW Tertiary League competition to battle it out and stake their claim for a NSW representative strip later in the season.
Played under residential rules (meaning players are eligible based upon the club they play for rather than where they come from) the City team is made up of the Metropolitan based clubs that participate in the NSW Tertiary League, whilst Country both get to pick from the rural based clubs and the clubs on the fringes of the Sydney basin.
