The big day has arrived and the Australian Uni Team is readying itself for the 2017 Uni World Cup Final.

The team has been dominant in its march to the final, winning its 3 pool games by big margins and winning its battle for a final place against a spirited England side in the semi final just two days ago.

The boys face surprise packet Pacific Islands in the final at Pepper Stadium, home of the Penrith Panthers, and despite comprehensively beating the islanders in their pool game a week ago, coach Aaron Zimmerle has left them in no doubt the danger they face this afternoon against a big and skillful side that has only gained in confidence as the tournament has progressed. It will be a much different opponent for the Aussies this time around.

The coach’s advice to the team is not to be overwhelmed by the occasion, soak in the atmosphere, play to the best of their ability and the Cup can be theirs.

The action kicks off at 4.15pm.
